Prescription status explained

Prescription status explained

Every prescription moves through a status lifecycle from creation to dispensing.

StatusMeaning
PENDINGCreated but not yet signed. Can still be edited.
SIGNEDAES applied. Dispense token generated. Sent to pharmacy if connected.
SENTDispatched to a connected pharmacy (SignatureRx, CloudRx, etc.)
PROCESSINGPharmacy has acknowledged receipt and is preparing the medication
DISPENSEDMedication dispensed. Token deactivated.
COLLECTEDPatient has collected the medication from the pharmacy
FAILEDPharmacy dispatch failed. Use Resend to retry.
CANCELLEDPrescription cancelled by the clinic
EXPIREDPrescription validity period (28 days) has passed

Resending a failed prescription

If a prescription shows status FAILED, click Resend on the prescription detail page to retry the pharmacy dispatch.
